REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY:

THE SOUTHWEST MONSOON WITHDRAWAL LINE CONTINUES TO PASS THROUGH LAT. 26.0N / LONG. 95.0E, KOHIMA, LAT. 20.0N / LONG. 88.0E, KALINGAPATNAM, NIZAMABAD, AURANGABAD, DAHANU, LAT. 20.0N / LONG. 65.0E AND LAT. 20.0N / LONG. 60.0E. FAVOURABLE  CONDITIONS  ARE  LIKELY  TO  DEVELOP  FOR  FURTHER  WITHDRAWAL  OF SOUTH WEST  MONSOON FROM  REMAINING  PARTS OF NORTHEASTERN  STATES, SOME MORE PARTS OF ANDHRA PRADESH, TELANGANA  AND  MAHARASHTRA & GOA  AROUND 24TH OCTOBER. SUBSEQUENTLY  FROM  REMAINING  PARTS OF THE COUNTRY DURING NEXT 2-3 DAYS.

RAINFALL OCCURRED AT ISOLATED PLACES OVER SOUTH MADHYA MAHARASHTRA & MARATHWADA. WEATHER WAS DRY OVER REST OF THE REGION.

ON SATURDAY, THERE WAS NO LARGE CHANGE IN MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES OVER THE REGION. THEY WERE ABOVE
NORMAL OVER KUTCH & NORTH GUJARAT, BELOW NORMAL OVER SOUTH MADHYA MAHARASHTRA AND NORMAL
ELSEWHERE OVER THE REGION.
THERE WAS NO LARGE CHANGE IN MINIMUM TEMPERATURES OVER THE REGION. THEY WERE APPRECIABLY ABOVE
NORMAL OVER NORTH MADHYA MAHARASHTRA, ABOVE NORMAL OVER GUJARAT REGION,NORTH KONKAN & SOUTH
MADHYA MAHARASHTRA AND NORMAL ELSEWHERE OVER THE REGION.
41 DEG C RECORDED AT KANDALA WAS THE HIGHEST MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE AND 19 DEG C RECORDED AT
AURANGABAD WAS THE LOWEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE IN THE REGION.

The southwest monsoon withdrawal line continues to pass through Lat. 26.0N / Long. 95.0E, Kohima, Lat. 20.0N / Long. 88.0E, Kalingapatnam, Nizamabad,Aurangabad, Dahanu, Lat. 20.0N / Long. 65.0E and Lat. 20.0N / Long. 60.0E. Favourable  conditions  are  likely  to  develop  for  further  withdrawal of southwest monsoon  from remaining parts of northeastern states, some  more  parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra & Goa around 24th October. Subsequently from remaining parts of the country during next 2-3 days.


ARABIAN SEA INFERENCE:
 

SW Monsoon was weak to moderate over West Central & South East Arabian Sea and weak over East Central and South West Arabian Sea. Weather seasonal over North East Arabian Sea. The cyclonic circulation between 2.1 & 7.6 km above mean sea level over east central  Arabian  Sea  &  adjoining  coastal areas of north Karnataka and Maharashtra has become less marked.
